Dispensationalism is Not New (Anybody Else? #1)

This is the first of a new series (seriously). Do you really need  an introduction to it? I didn’t think so. – JT

Claim: Dispensationalism is not new, it’s been around forever.

Response: Throughout the history of Christian thinking since the Apostles, redemption by faith alone has never had as its foundation that God was pursuing two distinct purposes in history – until J.N. Darby.

Given the 2000+ years of Christian history, and J.N. Darby introducing this distinction between Israel and the Church in the early 1800’s, I’d say that’s pretty new. If it’s new, it ain’t biblical.
