Ted Cruz Follows “Voices” from God Heard Through Wife
By way of Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael, we get a view into the theology of the Cruz family. And it’s not exactly comforting. It certainly is not Scriptural. This is what happens when people are not taught the biblical truth that God speaks only through His written Word.
My son Ted spent 6 months in prayer – six months seeking the Lord – because this is a decision that had to come from the Lord. It had to be a direction from the Lord. And at the end of those 6 months, the whole family – we were at Ted’s church in Houston and after church we went to the pastor’s office – his senior staff was with us. We spent 2 hours on our knees at his pastor’s office. And I remember the final word came from Ted’s wife – from Heidi, and the word from the Lord was, “seek my face, not my hand.” And I’ll tell you when after that word came – seek my face, not my hand – it was as if the cloud of the Holy Spirit descending upon that room and all of a sudden we were all worshiping. And the words that came out of Ted’s mouth were, “Here am I Lord, use me. Let your will be done. Here am I Lord.” It was total brokenness, and I’ll tell you, I believe that God has raised him up for such a time as this.
Personally I don’t have any problem with this statement made by Ted’s father. The only thing I do not like that it was his wife’s final statement; and that is God’s final word to Ted. I don’t reject a godly woman saying something that God has shown her via God’s Word; just as Sarah told Abraham and the Lord commanded him to listen to her. I can happen. But getting involved with such as Copeland and of that ilk, it’s bad. Amen.
It’s scary how much bad theology there is in the world, and the very fact that Kenneth Copeland endorses Cruz is reason enough not to vote for him.
