Forget About Donald Trump’s ‘Moral Center’
Those of you who are slamming Donald Trump for lacking “a moral center” need to be reminded that Christianity is not primarily about morality.
It’s about substitution.
If you want to slam the Donald, fine, just don’t make morality your “Christian” argument.
Otherwise, it becomes quite clear that you do not understand the Christian faith at all.
And what does that say about your soul?

The New Covenant includes a new heart and a new spirit. God does not impute righteousness to those He does not regenerate. Jesus came to establish the New Covenant, not only take our punishment. Without the new creation we are still hostile toward God.
Now, is a regenerate or an un-regenerate person more fit to govern under God?
Actually, Trump does seem to lack a “moral center.” Certainly the new birth is not about morality, but how is the Christian life not in part an outworking of fixed moral Biblical truths? Why exactly is a morally unstable and morally ambiguous Trump not an issue? Trump seems to indeed lack a moral center. A political center. A Christian center. A worldview center. The only genuine center he seems to have is his ego.
