To Be Called A Church of Christ

“The glory of the visible church does not consist in such externals as costly edifices, artistic stained glass windows, richly appointed furnishings, dignified vestments and talented preachers. A church may have all these and yet be so inglorious as not to deserve being called a church of Christ. Not even long membership rolls necessarily betoken glory. They may evince vainglory.

The glory of the visible church is reflected in its members and consists in their loyalty to Jesus Christ as its Savior and Head, and itself manifests His body.”
