Al Mohler: Very Thankful to Spend Time with A Man Who Glorifies Satan
John MacArthur:
“Satan is now “the ruler of this world,” and until the Lord casts him out he will continue to rule.” – John MacArthur
So, according to the beloved John MacArthur, Satan – not Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords, the One to whom all power and authority have been given – but the Devil, he rules this world we live in.
Hmm. Well that’s a damnable lie.
Shortly before His crucifixion, Jesus said in John 12:31:
Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.
Do you think Jesus was a liar? He didn’t know what He was talking about?
Please.
Al Mohler, August 7, 2013:
Wow. A highly influential preacher, John MacArthur, ascribes authority and power to Satan, and Albert Mohler is “very thankful” to spend time with him.
Brethren, our Lord Jesus has declared before the whole world that ALL authority and ALL power has been given to Him by the Father of light.
Are you seriously going to stand by – on all social media- and remain silent while these men belittle the Church, the body of Jesus Christ, and mock the Creator? Really?

Joel, In your studied, humble opinion, is John MacArthur regenerate?
Christianity is not just a way of life, it is doctrine. Here I stand. Jesus is King of all.
Amen, Joel. Do you think MacArthur is regenerate or not? Or did he merely err?
Any man who denies Jesus has cast out Satan as prince of this world over the souls of men, which MacArthur does clearly, also denies that God has sent the Son, in the flesh, to set captives free. This a teaching, taught by him for decades, that goes far beyond error. Obviously, I am not God, yet based on his doctrine regarding salvation, promising unregenerate ‘natural Israel’ salvation without repentance prior to the second coming of our Lord, the Kingship and Lordship of Christ Jesus, …hmmm.
Thanks – I need to reread your other anti-MacArthur posts and do more research before I can make that assessment with you. I agree that satan is not lord or king of this world.
But I would be surprised if MacArthur said that Jesus does not rule over satan.
Wouldn’t MacArthur say that Jesus has cast out Satan as prince of this world over the souls of regenerate men, thought not over those of the unregenerate? That God has sent the Son, in the flesh, to set (elect) captives free?
Find it, then we’ll discuss. On the other hand, you have a ton of other non-biblical doctrines which the man teaches to overcome. To err is one thing, to offer salvation falsely to unrepentant believers while exalting Satan as ruler of this world is a task, to disprove, which I do not envy, which you must undertake in order to prove to me that John MacArthur is not a heretic. Have an outstanding night. I have to go pick green beans now. 😉
Does seem daunting, I agree. 😦
In his Isaiah 61:1, 2a comment, Mac saith:
“The Jews who were saved during Christ’s ministry, and those being saved during this church age, still do not fulfill the promise of the salvation of the nation to come in the end of time (cf. Zech. 12:10-13:1; Rom. 11:25-27).” Hmm… nothing of us Gentiles?
On “liberty to the captives,” we goyim apparently are not in view: “The captives are Israelites remaining in the dispersion following the Babylonian captivity (42:7).” Huh?!
Wow – my work is cut out for me!
Don’t let pride, nor fear of men, including your friends, stop you from honoring God and His Son.
Amen. Bereanhood is our calling!
In 2010, a Baptist Pastor challenged MacArthur on Mohler post-Manhattan Declaration fellowship:
“In light of his having signed the ecumenical Manhattan Declaration, that highly publicized document which presents and promotes a false gospel as well as apostate religion, will Dr. Albert Mohler still be speaking at your church’s upcoming Shepherds’ Conference this March 4 [2010]? I noticed that he is still listed as a speaker on your web site. I am certain you are well versed in the many Scriptures which command us to break fellowship with those who teach or promote a false gospel as well as those who walk disorderly, corrupt the church, and lead the Lord’s people into error. In light of those Scriptures, I cannot see how you could allow Dr. Mohler to speak…”

“Now* is the judgment of this world; Now* will the ruler of this world be cast out.”
Didn’t Jesus mean “in the Millennium, thousands of years hence,” when he said, “now”? 😉
