He’s not finished with you.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. – Philippians 1:6
If you are now, or in a recent time in your life, at a point when you thought God was through using you, just finished, please do not despair.
God always finishes what He started in those whom He loved enough to elect before the foundation of the world to bring to salvation. Ephesians 1:4.
If you belong to Him, He’s not finished with you. You are being purified. Tested. Made perfect. You may hate the way things are right now, but I encourage you to persevere, pray, and be persistent in both.
It may not mean much to you, but I’ve been there, done that, still going through it, and God has been faithful to strengthen, comfort and encourage me the whole time through His written Word.
Our God is good and faithful to do what He has promised. He’s not finished with you yet.
When I first saw the “He’s not finished with you” tag in my inbox, my first thought honestly was, “Oh no: What has MacArthur said or done this time?” Now that I’ve read the post, I just want to say thank you for a timely — and timeless — reminder.
