Disrupted Worship Services
This church fellowship in PA had an outburst from some members of the congregation during the morning service. If you were the pastor, how would you have handled this situation? Have you, as a church leader, ever been involved in a similar situation? I know I have.

Do you know the backstory? Seems like the videographer knew something may or may not happen. I also couldn’t hear very well what the congregation was saying.
Iam not the Ray above, had to clear that one up , but regarding the video, I have been in churches where folks have felt that speaking up during the service is their only avenue of being heard. Sometimes there is enormous frustration when a pastor refuses to listen and refuses to take any counsel, often countering criticism with ” you’re free to leave any time you like”. I have seen some terrible things going on under the guise of christianity, and yes , I too have felt like standing up and giving someone a serve.

Pretty awful Joel. But it makes me wonder about the flip side. If you are Joe Q. Church member, and it is the pastor that is out of line, or teaching unscriptural doctrine – do you believe the only recourse is to flee? Capitulate? Be 100% deferential? Wait? Pray?
I encouraged my folk to comment or ask any questions they liked, even during the sermon. From the beginning this fellow was asserting his authority and it was obvious there was an undercurrent. Where were the elders?
